ChatterQuote September 2011

Mother Teresa, 1910 – 1997

The sign of Virgo is connected with “service” and is the most helpful sign of the zodiac. The Virgo must “serve” in order to achieve true spirituality, so for our ChatterQuote this month, who better to give us some words of wisdom than a Virgo who truly dedicated her life to “service” – Mother Teresa – born August 26th, 1910. She was a Catholic nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India in 1950. Mother Teresa spent her life ministering to the poor, sick, orphaned and dying, and among the numerous awards she received for her good works, was the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.

“The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis,
but rather the feeling of being unwanted.”
Mother Teresa
