Churchill & Eisenstaedt – ChatterQuote December 2012

So for this month, I am giving you two different quotes from two different Sagittarians. The first is from a very famous British Politician, best known for his leadership during the Second World War, Sir Winston Churchill – a Sagittarius, born into an aristocratic family as the grandson of the 7th Duke of Marlborough in Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, England, on November 30th, 1874, and who died in London on January 24th, 1965 at 90 years old. His funeral was the largest state funeral in world history with representatives from 112 nations in attendance.

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.

Churchill was a noted statesman and orator, two roles perfectly suited for a Sagittarius because Sagittarius is the sign who speaks to God, and then tells the people what to do, and that’s what he did. Many thanks to Julie Grahame for allowing to use this iconic photograph of Winston Churchill from the Yousuf Karsh archive taken in 1941 after his speech to the Canadian Parliament – splendid! Thanks to Julie Grahame for allowing us to use this wonderful image of Sir Winston Churchill from the Yousuf Karsh Archive!

Mark Segal – ChatterArtist December 2012

Naturally this month our ChatterArtist is going to be a Sagittarius, and I happen to know several photographers born under this sign, but the one I selected is such a perfect fit, and you’ll see why. Mark Segal, and I have known one another for a long time, back from when I worked with American Showcase and Archive Magazine. I have seen Mark’s work evolve over the years, and his business change through both desire and necessity, yet all with one consistent thread – his innate ability to “see” the bigger picture. Sagittarius is the sign that says, “I see, I see so much, where do I start first?” You’ve heard of the expression when someone is said to “not see the forest for the trees” – well, in Sagittarius’ case (and Mark’s) they do see the forest, they see the bigger picture – literally.

Opposites, Opposition & the Number 7 – ChatterLog October 2012

Greetings everyone and welcome to the October or “Fall” ChatterBulletin, and the sign of Libra. Some of you may have noticed there was no newsletter last month, and the reason for that is true to my Leo self, I put my back out (again) in August and as a result couldn’t comfortably sit at the computer to write. So I was forced to rest up and decided to give you a bumper newsletter for the “Fall” instead, and here we are! So what should our theme for this month be? Regarding the sign of Libra, we have previously talked about balance and last year it was manners, so what other characteristics does the Libra personality exhibit? I’m going with Opposites and Opposition, and here’s why:
