ChatterLog Spring 2009

Greetings everyone and welcome to the latest bulletin, which is dedicated to, and in loving memory of my dear mother, Janet Isobel Curtis, who died on Monday, March 2nd, 2009, aged 83 years, at the Allenbrook Nursing Home in England. As some of you know, her health had been declining for some time, but she thankfully passed away peacefully and finally out of pain with both my sister Charlotte and her God-daughter Victoria by her side. Fortunately I was able to spend some time with her in February and say my “good-byes.”

Nothing can prepare you for the death of a parent, especially your mother. Needless to say, these past months have been and continue to be a complete emotional roller coaster, what with making funeral plans, meeting with lawyers and generally keeping the Kleenex company in business. It certainly has been a life-changing experience and one I hope to write more about at a later date. But for now, let me at least share with you the photo we used on the Order of Service which we felt totally demonstrated her eternal love for a good laugh!

I would also like to extend my heart-felt gratitude to all of you who have sent cards, flowers, chocolates, emails or left phone messages. If we haven’t already done so, my sister and I will get around to thanking you all, we promise!

With much love,

Louisa
