ChatterTip of the Month February 2009

Cure for a Headache
Now, if you end up with a headache after all that chocolate, here is a brilliant tip to get rid of it. Take a piece of fresh lime and rub it across the forehead and temples. You’ll be amazed how it will cut through that pain! Just keep on applying it until the headache subsides.

Candlewax on wooden drawers
This works! If you have any wooden drawers that are a little stiff and don’t slide easily, take the drawer(s) out and rub some candlewax along the edges of the drawer and the runners along which it slides. When I attempted to test this one out, I discovered that the drawers on my old family bureau also needed gluing, so what started as a few minutes project, ended up taking me a couple of days! But once the glue had dried and the candlewax applied, the drawers are certainly sliding a whole lot better! So now I have “Sliding Drawers!”

ChatterLog January 2009

Greetings Everyone and welcome to the year 2009!
Just a little recap from the last bulletin – and a month of winding down and Holiday parties.
I attended my usual trio of parties – APA, ASMP and ASPP. I did not make it to the ADC or Adorama parties though. I noticed, for the most part, that everyone had definitely “cut back” this year but it didn’t prevent a jovial atmosphere and a decent dose of Holiday cheer.

ChatterArtists of the Month Holiday 2008

Michele Kawka

I worked with Michelle some months back on editing her work for a new website. As we worked on the edit her images created the categories, which was just as well because we were struggling with how to present her wide range of work! “Across Cultures” became the main portfolio and summed up her creative vision and love of diverse cultures, especially living in the melting pot of New York, as we do! This is one of my favorite images from the Venice Carnivale.

ChatterLog November 2008

Greetings Everyone!
I am so thrilled to dedicate this month’s bulletin to our 44th President Elect – Barack Obama! It has truly been an exciting and moving experience to be part of such a historical moment. To see the faces in the crowds – of all races and colors and creeds – was truly inspiring. And as my sister said in a very excited email, it is not just America, but the whole world that needs this sort of change and inspirational leadership. And for that reason, we are highlighting a couple of my clients’ images of our next president.

In addition, this “Obamabulletin” will also include some December events and holiday parties. So mark your calendars now – the next bulletin will not go out until nearer the end of the year! And don’t forget to check out my Creatives Round Table Panel on Tuesday, November 18th @ Adorama!
This is a brand new line-up with seven fantastic industry creatives!

And most importantly – Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
With a brighter future ahead, may we all have something to be thankful for this year!
