ChatterArtists November 2011

So with this month being associated with the sign of Scorpio, doctors, researchers and surgeons, we are bringing you photographers who shoot for Healthcare. This work can range from simple portraiture, to documenting actual procedures and treatments, to more “lifestyle” imagery for health insurance, or pharmaceuticals.

Mark Segal

First up is Chicago-based advertising, panoramic & aerial photographer and friend Mark Segal who I’ve known for many years. Mark has literally traveled the world shooting for a variety of advertising, corporate, editorial and healthcare clients, in addition he co-founded the stock library Panoramic Images with his brother Doug, and some of you may recall we featured his company SkyPan International in a previous bulletin. From his website, “He produces images that are vital, powerful and expressive.”

ChatterRecipe of the Month October 2011

Strawberry Scones

Libras are often known to have a sweet tooth, so I could have gone with yet another yummy desert this month, but one of Libra’s favorite things to eat happens to be strawberries, so when I found this recipe for Strawberry Scones in one of my Ina Garten “Barefoot Contessa” recipe books, it seemed a perfect fit. The key to flaky scones (pay attention now) is not to over-blend the butter.”

ChatterTip of the Month September 2011

Pet Tips
Growing up in English countryside, there were always tons of dogs around and everyone in my family seemed to have a dog, or two, and mostly Labradors or retrievers of some sort. Although I have had dogs too, I am really more of a cat person, so for this month, I asked my sister to write some dog tips for us. The photo is one I took when I was last in Guernsey visiting my Aunt. We were walking her little Jack Russell “Cassie” and ran into a woman who breeds and trains collies and was walking a group of them with a black lab as well. She very methodically arranged and instructed them all into a line for me so I could take their picture!
